Undoubtedly Aruba has adopted the New England Patriots as their most beloved team. Island wide football lovers anticipated a chance for the Pats to defend their title on February 7 in the 50th installment of the Super Bowl. However it was not meant to be.
Down by two points with 12 seconds left in the National Football League’s AFC Championship game, the New England Patriots lined up for an onside kick. The entire football watching world including those in Aruba were on the edge of their seats. With the recovery of the ball there would be one more chance for Tom Brady, New England’s greatest magician this side of Penn Jillette to pull off one more trick.
“Do your job” is the mantra adopted by head coach Bill Belichick one that perfectly describes how the Patriots handle business. However with the game on the line the Patriot’s hopes of a Super Bowl repeat were ended when an unknown Bronco rookie, “Did his job” by decisively and aggressively attacking and recovering the poorly executed onside attempt. From that moment on most of Aruba stopped caring about who they’d be watching in the big game and began to focus on where they would be watching it.

Buster’s will have the game on multiple televisions and be serving a buffet with very reasonable pricing on ice cold beer. Buster’s Garage is located in the Palm Beach area in the “Ratland” building behind McDonald’s. Look for the very large Martini Glass lighted sign on the side of the building. You can’t and shouldn’t miss it!

Champions Sports Bar & Restaurant
If you are staying on Palm Beach and even more specifically in one of the Marriott properties Champion sports bar at the Marriott Ocean Club is a fantastic place to watch the game. Although Champion’s has lots of large screens get there early or it will be packed as Champion’s is popular with both Marriott guests and those from other properties.

Local Store Aruba
The perfect melding of sport’s bar, tap house and burger joint, the Local Store is where the locals will be Super Bowl Sunday. Situated on Palm Beach road the Local Store has everything you need to enjoy the big game. Complete with giant televisions, an incredible selection of both ipa craft beers and local brews, delicious burgers and the best wings on the island. Is there any doubt they know how to party at Moomba Beach? In my opinion it is the place to be Sunday nights and when you couple that with Super bowl Sunday it becomes a no-brainer. There will be specials on food and buckets of beer. The best part is no matter who wins you can bet the after party will be just as super-sized as the 20 foot LED screen football lovers will be able to enjoy. That’s right Moomba is setting up a 20 foot LED screen for your viewing pleasure. Just know seating in front of the screen will be limited to the first 400 people who reserve at a cost of 15 dollars per seat. These will sell out so reserve your spot ASAP!

Seriously, does Ricardo’s ever disappoint when it comes to throwing a party? Well this year’s Super Bowl celebration will be no exception. First there is the huge television being set up under the bandstand. Next is the ever present party atmosphere. Top all of that off with Ricardo’s great food and drinks and it has the making to be an epic night of football festivities. But if you don’t already have tickets, you missed the boat as this venue is already SOLD OUT!

Touchdown is Aruba’s version of what we traditionally think of when speaking of sport’s bars. Place it on any corner in any town here in America and it would be well received, in Aruba, Touchdown does its name justice by being one of the best places on island to watch a game. If the large screen televisions, sports bar inspired menu and great drinks aren’t enough to hook you maybe the location will.
